About the Class
Despite the name, this is not a class about herbs "beginning with A and ending with Z," but a more realistic presentation based on groups of herbs for different complaints, conditions, patterns, energetics, properties, etc., so that the student can see both the little picture of the herb and the big picture of where it fits into the ‘herbal universe.’
A medical doctor once said to Matthew, "Herbalism is a funny subject to learn. It’s like first you learn how to run from first base to second, then how to catch the ball in left field, then how to throw a pitch.” Matthew commented, “That’s how I learned and am still learning.”
Just as no two baseball players are alike, no two herbalists are alike. That’s why we are going to try to always have two herbalists speaking on the program; to give stereo vision.

Each month we will cover a number of herbs in-depth with Matthew Wood and specifically selected Teachers and Co-teachers who have a special connection with the herbs of the month!
Note: Some of these teachings are of our earliest class offerings and may have been recorded before the Matthew Wood Institute of Herbalism was formally started. The quality of the teaching is laid back and informal with so much meat attached to the bone. I took lots of notes then realized there were PDF pages that I can print and read again and again. I'm sure I will watch the videos again also. I knew a little bit about Solomon's Seal, but this class filled I all the gaps. Also the info on cucumber water was great! Unfortunately I was unable to be in on the live version and really appreciate being able to see it later. I hope I can be there for future classes, but timing is iffy.
